"Once Upon a Time" fan-favorite couple Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) have already been through so much over the past few seasons, so can fans hope for a happy ending for the two in season 6? There's been speculation of a possible engagement or even a wedding in the pair's future, but "Once Upon a Time" showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said that fans will have to wait for the next season to see what happens.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly if Hook and Emma will tie the knot in season 6, Kitsis teased, "I would say you'll have to watch season 6, you never know what's going to happen. You never know what's going to happen with those two."

Hook and Emma certainly went through an emotional rollercoaster ride in season 5, with Hook trapped in the Underworld and Emma fighting to get him back to the land of the living. At one point, it seemed our two star-crossed lovers were destined to be separated from each other forever. However, Hook came back from the Underworld and managed to reunite with Emma before the end of season 5. In the finale episode of the fifth season, Emma and Hook confessed their love and shared a passionate kiss. However, they shared this sweet moment in front of a wedding dress store, sparking speculation that this could be a sign of wedding bells in the couple's future, according to Popsugar. It looks like we'll just have to wait until season 6 to find out whether or not Hook and Emma do end up tying the knot.

Morrison previously opened up about Hook and Emma's relationship during an interview with Hollywood Life's podcast. “I do feel like they really are true love, and they are going to do whatever it takes to fight to be together. I think that’s also an interesting thing to do on television. A lot of times TV keeps characters apart that are in love. Physically, they kept us apart. But for most of season 5 we do spend the time admitting that we’re a couple. It’s not that they had a falling out with each other. I think that ultimately as the story continues, it’s going to be important to see Emma’s happy ending. Emma is sort of, she is the new fairytale, she’s Eddy and Adam’s creation, so I think ultimately we’re on a journey to figure out what her happy ending looks like," the actress said during the podcast. "Once Upon a Time" season 6 will premiere this fall on ABC in its regular Sundays at 8 p.m. ET timeslot.
